I am excited to be the principal of Lincoln Elementary and consider it an honor to serve Lincoln students and families. I am committed to leading the Lincoln staff to fulfill our mission of teaching our diverse student body to allow them to fully realize their academic and creative potential.
I have been married to Susan DeHaven for 42 years. She has taught special education in Comanche, Geronimo and Lawton. We have two children, three grandchildren, with our fourth grandson arriving soon. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at Cameron University and continued my education at Southwestern State University, earning my Master’s Degree for Elementary Principal. I began my career as an educator in the fall of 1995 at Sheridan Road Elementary and for eight years taught fourth grade, and technology. For the next three years, I served as the assistant principal at Pat Henry Elementary followed by five years as the principal at Washington Elementary. For the past two years I have been the principal at Ridgecrest. I am now honored to be the current principal at Lincoln Elementary.
I truly enjoy my career in education and love helping students come to realize that they are capable of experiencing success in education and life in general. Please join myself and the staff in our collaborative effort between staff, parents, students, and community to achieve academic and personal excellence for our students.
