Are students going to have individual supply lists from each teacher?
No. Students will only use the one grade-specific supply list found on the LPS Website.
Will students need clear or mesh backpacks like they had in elementary school?
Yes. All LPS students are required to have a clear or mesh backpack.
Will students be required to wear masks this coming school year?
No. Masks are not required this year. They will be optional.
When is the 1st day of school?
The first day is Thursday, Aug. 12. Check out our LPS Calendar for more important dates.
My students are new. Are the "check-in" days the days we have to Check-In and bring in all the documents?
Welcome to LPS! Yes, if you completed the online enrollment process, this is the time to bring in the forms and get information from the schools for the school year.
Is Check-In for virtual students?
Yes. PreK-2 will be at Washington Elementary, 3-5 grades at Adams Elementary and secondary will be at Douglass Learning Center.
What do we do if we are unable to come on the check-in day?
You will be able to visit the site anytime after the set check-in days.
Will the Elementary Supply List be for all elementary schools?
Yes. This list is for all schools!
My student went to TMS, where do they go this year?
The district is an open district. Families can choose the school of choice. If bus transportation is needed, Eisenhower Middle School is the school boundary for students west of 38th Street. Students east of 38th up to the MacArthur Middle School transportation boundary line will attend Central Middle School.
The School Area Tool says my student will attend TMS, TMS is no longer a school. Where do they go?
We are actively updating our School Area Tool and apologize for the inconvenience. The district is an open district. Families can choose the school of choice.
