The Lawton Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter earned the highest award they could earn, the 3 Star National Gold Emblem Chapter award. Additionally, several Lawton FFA students and teams qualified for National FFA contests, marking it as the most students the chapter ever sent to a national contest.
The qualifying students are 2018-2019 chapter members Gabby Barber (National Proficiency Finalist, Ag Communications, top 4 nationally) and Madison Muller (National Agriscience Fair Finalist, Animal Science Division, top 12 nationally).
The state winning Agricultural Communications Team and Food Science and Technology Team will compete for national titles, as well.
The 92nd Annual National FFA Convention and Expo will take place from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 in Indianapolis.
Great job on all the hard work and go rock it at nationals!
