Help us give a huge CONGRATULATIONS to our very Mrs. Verna Howard!! Mrs. Howard was presented with the Mayor's Certificate of Recognition for her dedication to serve the students as the Pioneer Park Elementary crossing guard at today's City of Lawton council meeting. Even after 34 years of service, she does not like to miss work because she wants to "take care of her kids."
On behalf of #LawtonPS and our community, we say a big THANK YOU Mrs. Verna. Be sure to honk and wave when you see her!! #WeAreLPS #LawtonPS #oklaed
Pioneer Park Families: Please make note of the scheduled testing dates in April and May, attendance is crucial on these days. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Parents,
Due to traffic congestion, buses' inability to pick up students, and safety concerns, we will no longer release students from the North door. Car riders will need to be picked up in the car line, and walkers will be released from the playground. Thank you for your help in keeping our kids safe. If you don't have a car tag, you may pick one up in the office.

Families: Power is back on! Thank you for your patience. School will resume as normal.
Pioneer Park Family: Our power is currently out. PSO is actively working on it. We are still receiving our Extended Day students this morning. We will let you know once it is back up. Thank you.
There's still time for our #LawtonPS Kindergarten families to participate in the survey below. The survey should take around 5-10 minutes to complete.
You are being invited to participate in a study on parent perceptions regarding preschool education and whether or not parents chose to send their children to preschool on behalf of an SNU student.
The purpose of this study is to explore perceptions that parents have regarding preschool education and if they chose to send, or not send, their children to preschool based on those perceptions. Participants will be asked to share their perceptions regarding preschool education.

LPS Family: Just a friendly reminder of our COVID testing schedule if you are in need of a test.
In this issue of the Lawton Public Schools (LPS) ReView, we highlight our very own LPS Police Department and their efforts to promote consistently drug-free environments for our students, celebrate Hispanic Heritage, and congratulate student successes. Additionally, we wanted to put a spotlight on our teachers’ ongoing professional development, our TAP students, and our hardworking virtual staff. There is so much to unpack in this issue, and we hope you will take the time to really dive in to our latest publication of the ReView!
